I wouldn’t so much say this is what Microsoft would make of it as this is what pretty much every other tech company that doesn’t understand design at all would.
It’s an exaggeration, obviously, but it does get a few points across; most importantly, of course, the good ol’ mantra people so easily forget: less is more.
(You have to wonder why the creator(s) of that video picked the first-generation iPod, assuming the video isn’t very old already.)

Update: Capella points out that her first-generation iPod box looked different. Since the second-generation iPod is virtually the same in specs, maybe that’s what the box is from. It’s also possible, of course, that they randomly changed the box during its life cycle.
