Prank calling

May 23rd, 2006

I remember — sorely so — the days when prank-calling cost an awful lot of money that would end up on your mom’s phone bill and lead to some awkward moments where, somehow, you just couldn’t come up with any good excuses.

For better or worse, recent (somewhat involuntary) WordPress convert Nommie explains how to do it for free, in the US and Canada, using the free-until-at-least-the-end-of-the-year SkypeOut offer. Better yet, his guide takes care of the recording as well.

Skype has been very gracious to us all by allowing free calling to anywhere in the US and Canada. Many see this as great step forward for telecommunications. I see this as an opportunity to be devious.

Leave the country the same, but correct the continent, and end the sentence with a period instead.
