Clearly, Google has a lot of catching up to do on this whole be-a-dick-about-patents business. Haven’t they read the memo? No, seriously; they may have a problem of being too non-evil on this one.
Me, I’ll go with Stallman on this one (bet you didn’t see that one coming): limit copyright to five years, period. While we’re at it, let’s do the same for patents. It still gives creatives, inventors, businesses plenty of headstart, while at the same time allowing for the general public to benefit.
